FAQ
Vocal Remover FAQ
How do I remove vocals from a song?
Upload your file in Sonura and run vocal separation. The tool splits vocals from the instrumental automatically.
Is this the same as stem separation?
Vocal removal gives you vocals vs instrumental, the same two stem pass the acapella extractor uses. Full stem separation splits drums, bass, guitar, and piano out as well.
Can I use separated audio commercially?
You need rights to the original recording. Separation does not grant copyright to the underlying song.
What file formats work?
WAV and MP3. Check the app for current file size limits.
Can I remove vocals from an MP3?
Yes. Upload the MP3 and run the two stem split. You get the instrumental and the vocal back as separate files, and you can download either one as WAV or MP3.
Does removing vocals make a karaoke track?
The instrumental side of the split is what you sing over, so yes for practice and for most live use. It is separated from a finished mix rather than mixed from the original session, so dense or heavily limited tracks can leave a little vocal bleed behind.
